SAVAGE SOUTH TOUR

Geoff, Lil Pat getting ratty

Andy chillin with Geoff spitting some lung butter in the back ground.

Over the past five years of the trip, it's become more than just a bike trip. It's become more of a family reunion. This trip was less stressful for everyone because of the weather. It was amazing because it didn't rain as much. The trip went smoothly. Everybody that went rode street, and the ones who wanted to ride dirt rode dirt. It wasn't as much of a hassle trying to accommodate everybody's needs. I guess it was because of the weather. The weather was just perfect, as opposed to the last trip. It rained the whole time we were in Austin. It was just wicked wet. Thanks to everyone that came on the trip this year. I had an amazing time, and thanks for everyone's support.

Thanks everyone for coming on the trip. I hope I named everyone. Hopefully see ya next year

First day of the trip:
Rode the trails in Jackson before the rain hit. Left Jackson around five. Got to BR around 730/8. Too wet to ride anywhere, so we ended up going to the local's bar Redstar. It was pretty fun. Pounded a few and watched hysterically as Larkin Kelly was singing Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses. That was pretty much the highlight of that night.

Second day of the trip:
Packed up and moved out the troops to Houston. It was quite a dilemma the whole way there trying to keep everyone together because no one knew where the skate park was. Dirtwood is the name of the skate park. We usually stay in Houston for the night, but we all decided to haul ass to Austin. There are a few pictures from Dirtwood.

Adam's feet are completely off the peadles on this invert.

Geoff 360 spine Dirt Wood.

Holiday sooo.. pissy about a ice pick grind. "fool"

Turn down over spine Adam.

Garrett was blasting just like this every where we went. "juice"

One of many tricks that Ricky Moseley has in his back pocket.

Andy with a sweet f-n taboggen.

Third day of the trip:
Woke up in Austin. Went straight to 99th Street. Everyone was freaked out by the fact that everything was dry because it had been raining so much in Jackson and BR. It was so funny because everyone hauled ass to get their bikes. Everybody was so stoked. It was great. We pretty much sessioned 9th Street all day.

Matt,Geoff,Garrett,Ricky, and Brock gettin ready to smoke these jumps at 9 th street.

Matt the mouth bar humping the shit out of this jump.

BOOYAH

Fourth day of the trip:
We went back out to 9 th Street because it's such an easy place to meet everyone. Some went street riding. Some went to Empire and some went to go check out this other trail spot. Later on that day, we all ended up at Five Hip Ditch. That was an awesome day, and I really respect those guys out at those new trails. They have done a fantastic and amazing job. I appreciate their hospitality.

Fifth day of the trip:
We went to this skate park outside of Austin somewhere, but as soon as we arrived some punkass skate boarder kid told us that bikes weren't allowed, but according to sign out front or "the several signs" that were around the complex didn't say dick about not being able to ride bikes there, so we proceeded to take full advantage of that. It was weary at first, really the first hour and a half, and everyone just said fuck it. Later that day we had an appointment to go meet up with Taj and Joe at the T1 complex, and everyone had a blast. Everyone was mesmerized at the face that we were there hanging out with these guys and actually riding this ramp that everyones seen over the past five years in videos. Joe and Taj, my hat goes off to you. I really appreciate you guys letting us thirty deep come and ride yall's ramp and get to meet you guys. It was quite a pleasure, and I know that everyone else really appreciated it. Thanks guys. For the guys that were at the ramp and Taj and Joe, I'm sorry I had to shade off, but I just had to go ride those dirt jumps. What can I say the dirt jump is my thing , but I think it was worth it for everyone in the long run. That night we packed em up and headed out to Dallas. On the way to Dallas, we were doing just perfect the whole way there4. We were about 70 miles outside of our destination, and some fucker decides to stop right in the middle of the interstate, so with that many people caravaning you can imagine who catches the shit end of the stick when the train stops. The end does. Basically, we had a wreck. Garrett, Adam, and Thaniel from Illinois slam danced the shit out of my Passport. I really was lucky from the wreck. Garrett really caught the shit end of the stick with that one. It wasn't his fault. I just remember his brakes locking up at least for 3 to 4 seconds. It sucks cuz he had a bitchin ass cherry oldsmobile royale. Needless to say, it's not a royale with cheese. it's like a royale thrasher. Those guys were freaked out, so I decided to drive the car back to the house where we were staying, and fix it the next day so that they could get home. "Oh and guys don't worry about it. I really enjoy working on cars even though I don't know a whole lot about them, so don't worry about it. I had fun."

TEAM RAT SHIT!
The power plant was pissed. The Dan Haylen Dry Wall International HOOK UM UP!

Sixth day of the trip:
We were at the Booth's residence. Every year we're in Dallas we have to party down with Uncle Chuck, Emary, and the rest of the Booth family for new years. Thank you guys so much for your hospitality, I sure as shit wouldn't let thirty ratty bmx dudes stay at my house like that. I guess what I'm just trying to say is that I would but I wouldn't considering it's not my home. Everyone appreciates you feeding us and letting us party at your house. You guys say it's fun every year, but we really look forward to it every year. And Uncle Chuck I appreciate everything man.
