Trail Digging & Ramp Hauling

Saturday afternoon, Geoff, Steven & I went to the trails to dig. as we walked up, Geoff noticed someone in the woods. At first we were startled (thinking it was the MAN) but a closer look found out it was one the band members from the travelling wilburys. It wasn't Tom Petty. It was a junkie wondering in the woods.
Nope not the man! But he had lost his bus ticket t. Yeah, you knew that part of the story and yes he wanted a favor. Nope, it wasn't money. He wanted me to buy him beer with his money. Shocked, I agreed. I took his cash and bought him some beer.
Since it was Easter, I said what the Hell and bought him a six pack with my money. This guy had the worst case of shakes I had ever seen. At first I felt guilty for feeding his habit, but hey he needed a beer.
After his fix, we decided since he wasn't shaking anymore, he'd be a lot of help packing dirt on the jumps. hobo hand tamp.

We packed the jumps and took a couple of runs at them. Two wet jumps weren't ready, and I drank a redo with the hobo (Brian). Although he had his fair share of problems, it was good meeting the man. So we left Brian and the jumps.
later that day I found Larkin and got a wild hair. Let's steal Larkins ramps from his garage, load them in Walker and D Money's trucks to a parking lot.

Mickey and Vega picked up Lil Pat in Memphis and stopped by Jackson to shoot the shit and watch the new Memphis video, which is off the hook.
Lil Pat good luck with the move to Baton Rouge and hope all's great for ya.

Nacho Ordinary Contest

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Sorry guys, no Transitions this year, but we've decided to put together a contest in order to keep the springtime BMX scene rolling down in Baton Rouge, LA. Nacho Ordinary Contest is just that- it's not in a skatepark, there's no beginner class and it's run by a bunch of locals who just want to have a good time.

The contest is on May 5th, 2007 at the Iowa St. ramps in Baton Rouge, LA. Signups begin at 9 AM and will last until 11 AM. Shortly after 11 Expert practice will start (people who have registered will be able to ride beforehand). We'll be grouping the classes into groups of 5 for practice and runs. Pro registration will be open throughout the day and Pro practice will start when the Expert class is finished. Same thing goes for the Pro class- groups of 5 for practice.

We hope to see everyone here in Baton Rouge on May 5th for the Cinco de Mayo contest. People are welcome to show up early for the contest but keep in mind that we cannot provide a place for everyone to stay. See all of you on May 5th.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be posting stuff pretty regularly on this blog in the future. I just ordered my new editing beast of a computer so I can actually keep up with the Interneck.

Mic Check
